I need to buy ski clothes for my 6 yo
I think his snow suit still fits and if it doesnt I was going to try TK Maxx

Where is best for thermals, socks etc? Do I need to buy goggles?

Do you have a sportsdirect branch near you? They had a lot of thermals etc and also ski suits last time I was in. Or for the underlayers and socks, places like Mountain Warehouse can be good.

Or Ebay - new and secondhand ski suits, new thermals, eg something like this.

And yes, goggles are needed - you can probably get them at any of the places I mentioned.

I got a lot of stuff at Aldi recently - socks, thermals and zip necked fleeces. All very reasonable and worth keeping an eye out for.

Yep, TK Maxx for coats/suits. Decathalon, if you have one, are good for accessories. He will need goggles, yes.

VivaLeBeaver · 31/01/2011 13:59

Millets/Blacks do thermals and socks.

Will second Aldi.

GnomeDePlume · 31/01/2011 14:01

Decathlon are excellent if you have one nearby

CaurnieBred · 31/01/2011 17:21

Mountain Warehouse is also good

LIZS · 31/01/2011 17:23

H and M may have some left, Trespass(outlets are good)

www.littletrekkers.co.uk/shop/

Quite like their stuff, especially the Spotty Otter down clothing!

Try Mountain Warehouse if you have one. I am finding a lot of places are OOS now it's so late in the season but they have most things in still.

this shop is local to us and great for kids stuff.

They seem to have much more actually in store than they do on their site, but even if you're not local, their site seems pretty good.

Thanks everyone

Saw a lot of cheapish stuff in Costco recently, but we are Decathlon devotees! Not sure you will need thermals - where are you going and when?

Quick update - anyone still looking for ski stuff for half term: if you're looking for snow/moon boot things for kids, I've just got these from Lands End for £14.50 (hope that link works). Clicking on the LE sale banner only gives the more expensive version (though it's available in more sizes and colours) you need to use the search box to get all of the reductions.
