but am concerned because whilst it was cheap by Esprit standards........that's kind of what is worrying me!

Have booked into Chalet Simone in the Altitude Residence.

Have felt v pressured to find a bargain (of course, tis the nature of the beast these days) but am now worried that it will be a total sh*t hole and I will be v unhappy. I am afraid I am a skier who likes her home comforts :)

Please reassure me it will be okay........particularly if you have been there

Try looking on tripadvisor or similar. Have just returned from a lovely week there rooms at Le Reuter hotel were comfortable if basic. I would suggest taking your own pillow and pillowcase as I did (I'm a fuss pot)

Be warned- Les Arcs might be crawling with Uni students as it was last week.

Have searched everywhere, Open and not found any reviews of that specific chalet, and hugely mixed reviews of other chalets within the complex (although none of which were Esprit).

Have just popped over to SnowHeads where a very nice person has replied to my post saying that they stayed in another Esprit chalet within the same complex and it was fine. Also that the "communal" areas for the entire complex (bar, pool, lounge etc) are of a good quality and not grotty-tastic :o

Thanks for tip re: pillowcase. Think DH will think I have lost plot in mammoth proportions if I pack a pillow but a slip I could get away with Wink

have you seen this?

If you are flying into geneva would highly recommend getting the altibus to bourg st michelle train station and then taking the funny little monorail up into the resort. Then a free bus from 1600 (where the monorail leaves you) to 1800 where your hotel is i think. Need to book altibus though, took us about 4 hours total I think, waiting included.

Oh and no green runs in the resort, although this wasn't a prob for our group.
