Hi can anyone suggest a good place to go skiing for a weekend not far from Milan? We both ski well.

We have childcare lined up and dh has to be in Milan for work quite a lot so we are planning a skiing get away!

I am overwhelmed by the options which come up so would welcome any suggestions to focus on.

Thanks for your help,

As far as I am aware there is no ski resorts near Milan, your probably looking at a 3 hour, 130 miles drive to get to a decent one from milan

We go to Fopollo - 1 1/2 - 2 hours from Milan Bergamot, small resort with not much else besides ski-ing but sounds like that's what you like!
It does get busy with Italians at weekends.

Foppolo.

Ther are loads of ski resorts you can get to from Milan within 2.5 hours drive. Italy is one of my favourite destinations for weekend skiing as it so is accessible. I have flown into Milan several times for weekend skiing and also into Turin.

Places to look at and where I have been for weekend skiing would be Champoluc - went last year for a weekend and it was fab - Cervinia and Sestriere.

Good luck!
