Val d'Isere - no good for beginners?

Have been looking at places to go with DP - he has never skiied before and I haven't skiied for 25 years (both mid-40s). We are looking at an attractive deal in Val d'Isere but the website (igluski) only gives it a 3* rating for beginners.

Is this a good reason for us to avoid it?

TIA

Oops - just read the other thread. Perhaps we should avoid?

Don't be too scared of Val d'Isere. The nursery slope is in the village so your DH will be fine to start with and as long as you are happy to come down from the mountain in a lift at the end of the day rather than ski down, as the run back into resort can get a bit hairy you'll have a great time. There are always loads of people coming down this way so you won't be the only one. It's a wonderful resort loads of French as well as Brits, great skiing, après ski, shops, restaurants. It's my favourite.
