Snow boots or good wellies with very thick socks?

Are wellies with very thick socks/ two pairs of socks going to cut it or do I really need snow boots?

I find that wellies don't give me enough support for walking longer distances.

If you are going to be going for longer walks, then good boots are better. Am trying to think of the name of the ones that everyone is wearing here this year.

Found them - Sorel. Incredibly popular this year here.

I just wear my hiking boots.

I probably won't be going on very long hikes, they're for wearing out and about but I get very cold feet so warmth is key.

mmm, snow boots definitely. More support than wellies for when it might be slippery, also get thermal-lined. Wellies are really cold.

LauraNorder · 26/12/2010 21:20

how about these? you can get £15 your first order too!

mychatnickname · 26/12/2010 21:32

ooh they look really good and quite reasonably priced. Will look into ordering those...
