My dh and dd had a couple of sessions at Xscape,Castleford with good instructors with a group and they were ready to hit the slopes! Really good, I think there are others around the country.

It depends on where you live. the indoor slopes are best, but most expensive. the outdor (dry) slopes are ok, and a lot cheaper. lessons before you go skiing or boarding are an excellent idea. the snowdome in tamworth does learn to ski in a day, which is great for busy people.
