HELP - Love Ste Foy but want a change of scene

Two families ski-ing together and we like the small, family friendly nature of Ste Foy but fancy a change this year . Ideally French alps as we need to drive, small enough to get apartments that are close to lifts and ski school rather than having to schlepp the kids skis around .

Any experience of Grand Bornand, Vaujany, Oisans? Any other ideas ? Thanks in advance

Hi sinclair...if you "search" for me in this topic area you will see that I love Vaujany so much that I have bought a house there. It is v charming and pretty with excellent skiing v small village with outdoor escalators so easy to walk around would say that the only small supermarket is expensive would suggest you shop at supermarket 15 min drive down the valley

How about these appartments in Morillon (Les Esserts) which are ski-in-out and near the lifts and ski school, 4 person or 8 person apartments. Here's a description in English but to book, it's usually cheaper to do direct with the owners www.odalys.fr than with Peak Retreats. Ski school is cheap (118 for 6 half days)

Or in Notre Dame de Bellecombe, 300m from ski school and slopes, includes a pool. Ski passes are cheaper than Morillon for families. Again Odalys apartments, but here is a description in English

Or where we are staying this Easter, ski-in-out, cheap ski school, cheap ski passes. Apartments owned by www.pv-holidays.com/ and again cheaper to book direct unless there is a special offer, description in English

Or Aussois with www.goelia.com, a bit further to drive than the other resorts, but cheap everything there, ski-in-out, includes a pool. I'd go here if it weren't for the fact it's about 2 more hours in the car.
