Any experience? Tomy says theirs may work outside the EU, but it may not be legal.

We've used our Tomy Walkabout 2001 in Switzerland on many occasions without difficulty. We were careful to do a pathloss trial before leaving the children upstairs alone (as many buildings there are wood construction the signal is usually good - but metal lift shafts can lead to dead areas).

We used ours (bought in UK 1998) while living there but you may find the channels interfere as you tend to live in closer proximity. Our downstair neighbours had similar and we could pick up theirs from time to time if our own transmitter wasn't switched on - useful when babysitting ! Noone said it was illegal and I think theirs had been bought in CH. When we stayed in an Esprit hotel once several families had the same type and of course they interfered.
