We will be spending a month in the Swiss Alps in December and have DS 5 years old and DD 1 year old.

We currently live in Greece and will visit the UK (London) for a week before going to Switzerland to buy the necessary clothing.

Can you advise which shops stock reasonably priced gear for us and the children. We will have a car but limited time so any help will be greatly appreciated.

My favourite is Decathlon - in London near Canada Water but also on M25 in Essex.

Decathlon here too!

You might even be able to order online.

Thank you fedup and bigTilly! I will check it out Smile

i don't know london but tkmaxx often has adult and kiddy ski stuff, and trespass do some good stuff. you can also get some great stuff 2nd hand on ebay, so it might be worth seeing if there is any way you can get parcels delivered to your london address to be waiting for you when you arrive there (IYSWIM).
consider 2 pairs of trousers and 2 pairs of the gloves for the kids.

Mountain Warehouse is good and they have a few stores around London here. have bought a few things from there.

Another vote for Mountain Warehouse and Decathlon, but I always but Mountain Warehouse online and go for the packages where you get a ski jacket / salopettes / hat / sock all for around 50 pounds, don't know if you can get these packages in their real shops.

I prefer full length ski suits for the children, but with the disadvantage that it is hard for the girls to go to the toilet!

Aldi often carries good stuff at v competitive prices (once kitted out a child head to foot including gloves and goggles for £25). And have had brilliant stuff from TKMaxx.
