Hi there. How many Mums out there would like to listen to my story relating to my past 15 years living on a beautiful farm in Zimbabwe, and how it all ended abruptly 5 years ago, when we were brutally kicked off our farm at gun point, having to leave everything behind, including all our personal posessions, kids toys, clothes, furniture etc.Escaping with our 3 young sons under a barage of bricks and rocks being hurled at my car.In-between all the chaos and mayhem that took place during our last 2 years of farming I would also like to share with you the many good times we had as a family, what it was like raising 3 sons on a farm in Zimbabwe, the fantastic outdoors that so many of you only read about in magazines, the lovely holidays spent on our boat on Lake Kariba or in sunny Mozambique, the numerous trips I made with my husband into Central Africa, our way of life in Zimbabwe in general,
the things my 3 sons have acomplished in their young lives. They are now aged 8, 10 and 12. I grew up in Kent, completed my education there and worked for a good number of years before going out to Zimbabwe on holiday, and where I met and ended up marrying my husband. I would prefer to spend more time chatting about my children as opposed to myself, what they went through during the farm invasions, how they handled it, about being baricaded in our own home for 4 days by an angry mob of militant youth etc. etc. etc. This is a first for me, so please bear with me if you have questions etc, that you would like me to answer.I am sure you will all enjoy sharing with me the many happy moments we have had as a family over the past 14 years. I hope I'm on the correct site to do all this.
Sue
