Email address that always previously worked suddenly not working?

Just that since the last big update when things misteriously stopped being sent got sorted you have been sending things very happily to my email address. but I have jus namechanged back from a temporary name to my longstanding name I noticed that you are saying that you cant get mail to send. Am confused as the address is correct and you (HQ) have responsed to my emails when been sent. What is going on with the email address (btw been away 1 week and have 280messages away deletion so it is unlikely to be the email account. especially as several are from HQtowers) Is this a glip or do i need to go kick speak nicely to hotmail?

Hello.

To be honest, we're not sure.

Some of us have a theory that namechanging can cause a glitch in the email-sending system; others go "pah!" and look scornful at the very idea... We are looking into it, though.

But it might well have been something else entirely that got your emails blocked - maybe something in roundup tripped your Spam Filter, for example.

Best thing to do, whatever it was, is just go into My Mumsnet and just hit the Save button (assuming your email address is correct). That will tell our system to try sending you mails again.

I am a serial name changer though and it doesnt seem to have affected it in the past. Could it be something to do with those rouge spaces that keep getting added by the system to messages? It was only the last round up that didnt arrive. everthing else was there ok. I have been away for a week and not logged on but that shouldnt have affected it. So you must have a gremlin again. Good luck with the hunt for the cause!
