In some ways, I like the software that Mumsnet uses, because the presentation is very different from all those thousands of forums out there. But in comparison with, say, Invision, it does seem a bit dinosaur-ish. For one thing, the ability to jump to the next post from where you last read a thread, and also the ability to add emoticons easily.

There are loads of forums out there that use software like that, but it's all customisable so it doesn't have to have tickers or signatures, etc.

The only problem would be that it would be such a massive change, which would be a problem given the huge number of people who post. And anyway, it is sometimes good to be different.

I definately don't want a software change, I like MN as it is.
