Why have the titles of threads been repositioned?

Why has the title been moved away from the topic? Now things like AIBU don't seem to make sense, and it's difficult to find the title as it's hidden among below all the actions.

It is also harder to find when MNing on a mobile.

Please can the title be put back where it always was: as a continuation of the topic.

Hello. It's something TomTech did for lots of lovely sensible geeky reasons.

He'll be along in a bit to explain...

Mainly, we did this to sort out some inconsistencies with paging (which I suspect were not affecting you) and to make the code in the templates more consistent. Recently we have found a few places where we'd fixed a bug on Mumsnet new and missed it on classic (because the templates were very different). Everyone hates (software) bugs, so we're trying to avoid this in future.

I'm a Classic but I haven't noticed any bugs recently. But I'll take your word for it . Presumably the title wasn't appearing on every page where people were using the MN New?

Would it be possible in that case to have the title in two places, ie immediately after Topic: Subtopic:, as well as at the top of the thread?

BTW the site is absolutely wonderfully navigable on iPhone. I'm blown away!
