We're changing thread titles a little...

Hello all,
We're making a small change to the layout of thread titles to make our different styles more consistent.

At the moment the count of posts in the thread bounces around depending on whether you are looking at the first page or a subsequent page - sometimes it's on the right margin and sometimes immediately after the title. The thread title is also sometimes in the box, and sometimes not (depending on which page). On classic, we've brought the thread title down so that it sits on top of the posts, rather than floating after the topic title. There won't be any colour changes, none of the buttons will move around, and sober will stay (very) sober.

For the techs amongst you, we did this as we realised we had a couple of screens of repeated code in our talk templates, which meant that every change had to happen in two or three places. The more we looked at it, the more we saw inconsistencies in the site design that had crept in because of this repetition. In an attempt to keep ourselves dry, we're removing this as much as poss.

Ahh is this why I have no coloured titles in classic, and why I keep having to log in ?

Lulumaam · 27/05/2010 16:06

there's no lines /borders !!! it's verging on anarchy in the classic setting

You can find your Talk settings in Customise, under the "Mumsnet Talk" heading, above topics/threads.
