See my response on your AIBU thread.

You have a Facebook 'cookie' - a piece of code that Facebook has set on your computer. So when you click a Facebook link from any website, whether that be the BBC or Mumsnet, it takes you direct to your website.

If you don't like it, find the 'delete cookies' option in your web browser and then find the option to block them.

But honestly, Mumsnet are not looking at your facebook and no-one else can access your facebook from here.

Carmen thanks for taking the time with a freaked out woman

still i'm pissed off that i've now created a direct link from here to fb without realising it

ok so mnhq i'm sorry for suggesting you track web use

but still you should have a warning saying if you click on this when you are logged on it will create a direct link from mn to your fb page

mmr, you can delete the link from your Facebook by going to your Facebook profile, then hovering your mouse to the right of the link. It should have 'remove' as an option.

Hope that helps

mmrbonbon · 01/05/2010 05:50

Thanks I'm doing to do that.

But the link I've already made is irretrievable, isn't it? I am irretrievably now linked to my fb page. Even if it never ever happens again.

Am I right about that?
