or are you trying to get rid of me

it is getting tiresome now I have to say. If I deviate away from the site at all, but leave you open, just go to another window, and am gone for more than 10mins, when I re-open the MN window, if I go to post it has logged me out, and even if I don;t log out, and close the window, it forgets me too.

never used to. MN used to remember me day-to-day, but now it doesn;t even remember me hour-to-hour.

is this a punishment for flouncing having a sabatical for 6mths!!??

Can only suggest that you check cookies. Firstly that your browser is set to allow them. Though if you've not changed anything it should be the way it always was.

Secondly sometimes a cookie gets messed up. In which case if you can find it and delete it the problem is solved.

On XP for example you have a folder called
C:\Documents and Settings\yourcomputername\Cookies

And in it you will see one or more tiny text files called yourcomputername@mumsnet

psychomum5 · 12/02/2010 16:23

onagar, ok, you lost me on the cookie thing.....

I don;t think I have changed anything.....well, bar the fact that we are now on orange broadband as opposed to sky that we used to be on. could that be the difference??

can you please talk me thru checking cookies and deleting them please.......treat me as a newbie to computers.

thankyou
