At Ballet today I felt I was in a sort of RL Mumsnet !!!

It was very similar!
We were waiting for our dd's to do their class.

A group of mums, mostly strangers chatting, laughing, sharing.
I was talking about something (going out with a bib stuck to my coat)and then a mum mentioned something embarrasing she'd done(to do with what I'd said) and then another mentioned a time when she had forgotten to collect a friends child from school- there was lots of agreement with this!!....
Then we had a 'do you iron' discussion' and then it turned to the 'I'm glad I'm not the only flaky/can't cope/gets cross at their kids type chat.

All the while, I and others were juggling siblings, babies, bfing, listening to older dc's with their reading books etc.

It was like RL Mumsnet and I really liked it!!

At one point we were all LOLing . Much better than the times I've been at after school groups and all the mums sit in silence, or fiddling with their phones.

I wonder if any of them are Mnetters...

They probably are. I go to a very mumsnetty knitting group and after the first time I went I posted on here saying 'come on, some of you have got to be mumsnetters' and one person came on and said she was

Lol! did you spot her the next time you went?

It was the general feeling of being all in the same boat, doing our best etc And the funnyness.

She described herself so I knew who she was. None of the others have admitted it despite me dropping big hints.

Bizarrely, I also spotted a woman from work on here, I didn't know her but we now meet up and email occasionally at work. We also have a forum at work though it is populated mainly by computer geeks, but occasionally we see posts from woman and speculate as to whether they are mumsnetters. We occasionally hatch plans to try and sniff the mumsnetters out with troll like threads!

I've made some really super friends at ballet. DD started when she was 3 and is now 11 so count them as old friends now!
