let me know if you find them!

LadyBiscuit · 30/01/2010 10:13

If you click on the logo, you get the home page and there's a tab called Philosophy and Rules

Katymac · 30/01/2010 10:14

this sort of rules

or the Philosophy & rules on the topics page (on a tab)?

2shoes · 30/01/2010 10:16

I thought there would be a list

OP posts:
eggontoast · 30/01/2010 15:57

yeah, more like dos and donts?

2shoes · 30/01/2010 18:29

thats it so when we get all "omg you can't say that" we can check before posting it

I wonder if a thread about mn no no's has been done? I'll search and if not, start one.

HelloThisIsJoanie · 01/02/2010 09:14
  1. DO start a thread about a thread - everyone love it
  1. if osmeone starts an AIBU oyu must oNLY read OP even if poster has changed mind half way through
  1. anyone posting " but htye might have special needs" gets bonus point
  1. on any AIBU do propose the most ricidullous and unlikely reason why they might haev say...dropped litter . "maybe they had PTSD" and so on
  1. on any style thread do propose a birdesmaid dress and holey shrug from debenhams

Err... are there rules?

eggontoast · 01/02/2010 09:51

sorry - I have created a thread, not about this one, asking people to write the unwritten rules for us numpties who are too new or stupid(me) to know them all.

eggontoast · 01/02/2010 09:52

You could say, this thread gave me the inspiration, because the rules that are unwritten cannot be found for the poster to read.

2shoes · 01/02/2010 10:52

i was actually after the real rules lol

Hello 2shoes.

What exactly are you looking for, me dear?

Do you mean our Philosophy and Rules (2nd tab)?

Or our Guide to Talk?

Or summat else entirely?

juneybean · 02/02/2010 10:52

Hahaha @ LadyintheRadiator

eggontoast · 03/02/2010 18:38

the guide to talk link is very helpful, thanks helenmumsnet!

HelenMumsnet · 04/02/2010 15:37

Our pleasure, eggsontoast

Hullygully · 04/02/2010 15:42

Joanie - you forgot: If someone is worried that their dh has dropped a hanky, they must leave him at once because he is a lying cheating bastard.

2shoes · 04/02/2010 17:31

HelenMumsnet thanks I suppose that is waht I was looking for, but i thought there would be a list, saying things like you can't be racist.

OP posts:
HelenMumsnet · 04/02/2010 17:35

Actually, that's a good point, 2shoes - we'll think about working that in. Thank you.

2shoes · 04/02/2010 18:48
