MN Christmas appeal- are the emails out yet?

Was just wondering if the appeal was sorted out yet (I understand that this must be a massive undertaking)? Was a bit worried that my email has got lost but obviously if it's not all matched up yet then I'll sit tight.

Has anyone heard anything?

stickylittlefingers · 25/11/2009 09:45

also not heard anything! That's good to know, other people haven't either

shootfromthehip · 25/11/2009 09:47

Cool so it doesn't look as though it's just me then! Don't want to seem pushy- just wondered.

I've actually been organise and got my contribution all ready to send once I get details (this is quite an achievement for me LOL).

I was thinking the same, I can't start on mine till I hear from Norma.

mumoverseas · 25/11/2009 12:30

Mum overseas people on here (me included) prefer people not to use the retarded word, I understand its usual in some countries but just thought you may want to be aware.

They're still ssearching for ahrd to locate addresses from what I have heard. Someone elsewhere said its all out on the 2nd dec

mumoverseas · 27/11/2009 04:07

Oh FGS peachy. I was talking about myself and my lack of IT skills. Absolutely no need for you to take offence to that. I am not stupid and was not insulting anyone. Don't patronise me

Peachy · 27/11/2009 09:27

Its a word I hate, and I will flag it up whren I see it. There are people who would (understandably) get far angrier if they saw it so was offering fair warning without being nasty. It's also commonly used in America and some Americans don't know it will upset so its fair to mention without getting funny about it.

Its a hate word for disabled kids, I loathe it and I would not associate with people in RL who use it. There you go, not patronising but straight.

peachy MOS is lovely and I am sure she has realised she has used the wrong word(and it is wrong)

IMoveTheStarsForNoOne · 27/11/2009 11:11

yes, I was wondering about this too.

alwayslookingforanswers · 03/12/2009 22:38

she posted a thread yesterday (I think?) apologising for the delay, she's not been well and some unthinking people/person gave her some full time work - tsk tsk
