I am fighting the urge to drop a pal who has her xmas tree up already, so Just Don't!. It is Too Early.

thumbwitch · 15/11/2009 16:02

yes - wait until December. No excuse before then!

JANEITEisntErudite · 15/11/2009 16:03

Christmas tree up? Bloody hell - strike her off your card list immediately - she is clearly insane.

OracleInaCoracle · 15/11/2009 16:04

in my defence yer 'onours i have been wrapping pressies this week and have had Christmas Organisation drilled into me since I first started working due to type of job i did. for that reason i start much earlier than most people i know....

but still....

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 15/11/2009 16:04

OracleInaCoracle · 15/11/2009 16:05

mollyroger · 15/11/2009 16:05

I know
And she decorates her tree according to 'latest fashion'

But apart from that she is lovely....

Juillet · 15/11/2009 16:06

Well I was thinking of Chrissielou for you but that is a bit too much like a name...

No it is not too early.
btw

OracleInaCoracle · 15/11/2009 16:06

mollyroger is there a "fashion" for trees? [bemused]

OP posts:
BecauseImWorthIt · 15/11/2009 16:09

I went passed a house yesterday with all its lights/decorations up/on!

Madness.

mollyroger · 15/11/2009 16:09

well, yeah apparently. Like those black ones last year. or those upside down ones. Whatever they seel complete from Argod catalogue I guess....

(I like those fashionable green ones, you know, with earth on the roots)

thumbwitch · 15/11/2009 16:14

I like those too Molly!
I dont "do" tree fashions - I do time-honoured extracting all decs from attic/shed/wherever and putting them up in much the same way each year - but sometimes I leave some in the box and use others instead. I have a rule though - all decs must fit in one box - if I buy new and there is too much for one box, something old must go (never happened so far, box must be magic!)

OracleInaCoracle · 15/11/2009 16:14

lol, our tree is 5y old now and i stole inherited a lot of decorations from my nanas, its v old fashioned and traditional. i love it!

OP posts:
Juillet · 15/11/2009 16:17

i like the one box rule but have never found the right box...

have just re sorted all our decs into about 5 boxes, mainly small shoe boxes but still...when there are so many to pack it becomes a bit boring! And just got some more, arghhhhh....

FabIsLosingThePlot · 15/11/2009 16:18

It is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too early for Christmas names.

OracleInaCoracle · 15/11/2009 16:24

lol juillet, we are getting our decs down next week while ds is at school to make sure they all work and nothing is broken so we have time to replace.
