I don't like them either but never click on them. But have a feeling that is an established mumsnetter or even certain mumsntters started them they would be recieved with more grace.

Isn't it about time someone came on worrying about competitions like this attracting the wrong sort of attention and twittering about keeping our children's images safe from paedophiles trawling the net for images?

I always worry more about what it does to a young person when they don't win

I don't mind them- not that I'd vote in a baby beauty competition, mind. But as long as we are not totally over-run with them, they don't offend me.
