I think the original idea was to have a emoticon when you don't have anything to say but want the OP to know that you read and are feeling for her. A confectionary hug, so to say.

I don't think an 'I've got nothing to say on the matter' smiley is a bad idea.
But just a normal face like the others - with a straight line mouth. 'I'm saying nothing'.

I want to know why we have asked really nicely loads of times for a couple of other emoticons, and campaigned at the start of this year for burns night ones, and there was not one tammy in sight.

Then biscuit-gate happens and a jammy dodger miraculously appears.
