Threads I'm on

Could we have the facility to modify this (like we do with the Active Convs url to get more or fewer threads) so that we can check what's happened while we were on holiday, say, on threads on which we've been posting? 72h means that if I don't log-on from a Thursday night until a Monday night (which often happens) then Threads I'm On doesn't 'work' for me.

Use 'Threads I'm Watching' instead. Tag the ones you want to keep an eye on, delete them when you lose interest.

oooooh I posted on this the other day and St George told me to use Threads I am Watching. I think my thread was called Can we make the 72 hours longer, or some other whinge like that.

It explains it all on there.

Just not quick enough head girl

PrettyCandles · 08/06/2005 13:54

Doh! I guess that's why oo is Head Girl and SG must be Captian of Sports.

Guess I'll have to be pro-active and make sure I tag all the threads before I go away.

Thanks, prefects.

It would be neat to have a little sliding scale thingy at the top of the page. Default it to 72 hours. If you've been away, you slide (or click to select so Tech doesn't get ill) a longer 'window' IYSWIM.

Infact I think this facility is really important, as I often wonder how a poster is when I posted something say 1 or 2 weeks ago, or how a convo developed in my absence, or if anyone resurrected it after a few days (and it dropped off the 72 hour window).

I appreciate 'Threads I'm watching' gives a similar experience, but to me it's more like bookmarking 'favourites' in the browser... stuff you want to keep an eye on or come back to, and I'm thinking about a more general facility for anyone to be able to 'think back' a little further IYSWIM...

Perhaps it could remember your last setting, so if you're only an occasional poster, you might have quite a big 'window' so you can see threads you posted on one week ago etc.
