Ive only ever changed my name once and then confessed! I dont see the need. If you are slagging someone off then you will want to change your name so JUST DONT!!!!!

But name changes are usually done in a lighthearted and amusing way.

I don't think it'd work for two reasons. One is what www just said, if I had a personal problem I wouldn't necc want a mod to know it was me. Other reason is that when people post with a critical personal problem they often need to talk to someone now and waiting for a mod to arrange a new name might take too long.
