Disclaimer/Helpful Links for SN too?

Similar to the idea for the Feeling Depressed section, we did talk about doing something like this on SN, plus a possible Q&A somewhere (which could be links to threads) and Dinosaur offerd to write a Red Flags & Red Herrings document. Also the links on the Weblink thing from the HOme page could do with improving (with our help of course).

Thanks SueW, what I'm looking for is the on-line CHAT test that gives you a score. I KNOW it is on several SN and B&D threads but the archive search is beyond me...... I hope someone else will be able to track it down.....

Should also definitely include:

Contact a family - www.cafamily.org.uk/index.html

Scope - www.scope.org.uk

Speech Therapists site is - www.asltip.co.uk/main.asp

Umm, I've got loads but will need time to type them all out.

Here's one:

CHAT test

coppertop · 20/06/2005 09:53

Aaarrgh! Just realised you probably meant the childbrain one. That'll teach me to post when suffering from sleep deprivation.

coppertop · 20/06/2005 09:57

coppertop · 20/06/2005 09:58

this one

Davros · 20/06/2005 10:23

Thanks everyone, I'll email them to MN/Tech. CT, the CHAT one and that PDD one are different aren't they? I've put them separately.

There was a recent thread on SN about seizures where people discussed their various experiences. I can't for the life of me remember what it was called and I'm hopeless with the Search facility. I think International Girl started it? I think it would be good to have a link to that one too.

coppertop · 20/06/2005 10:52

Oops! Yes. The CHAT test is the one you do at 18mths or so and the PDD is the one you can do anytime.

beccaboo · 21/06/2005 22:32

Maybe a link to Sunderland University too - how to get the urine tests done is a question that comes up quite often.

I wondered where JJ had gone- was thinking about you this week (I was thinking about christopher place- so you see the link). How's your ds2 getting on?

JJmumsnet · 25/06/2005 11:15

Wow, thanks. What a response! We'll get these up soon.

Jimjams - thanks for asking! He's doing really well. It took a while but moving back here (to an English speaking country) and going to nursery have really helped him. He was getting speech therapy, but we tapered that off as he was progressing quickly otherwise. Still has minor problems, esp with low tone in his lower lip, but in general all is well. How's your ds2?

And that made me think - would a page of all the diff places (eg Christopher Place, BIBIC, dev paed ) and what they do (eg diagnose, offer treatment plans) be worth putting together?

Look, don't want to be funny, but was this just a waste of our time?

dinosaur.

I think Davros meant the SN links rather than the red flags guide. I think the chances of any of us writing a guide during the summer holidays is virtually zero.

Hi,

Sorry this hasn't gone live yet, but we are working on it and I would say it's about 3/4 of the way done. Unfortunately, everything takes us a bit longer to get done in the summer holidays. Sorry about that!

zippitippitoes · 25/10/2005 10:56

was this the one Davros

Davros · 25/10/2005 13:56

Thanks Zippi. I tried the archive and looked for myself in Site Stuff but couldn't find it and couldn't remember what it was called, doh!
