For when they want to express their personal opinions, rather than the MN official party line (whaever that is).

I should think so. I know they did in the ancient days of Early Mumsnet.

In Early Mumsnet they used to have long conversations with themselves to make the site look busy, I believe!

Idris is Early Mumsnet a specific era ? Are we in a New Era?

Dumbledoresgirl · 23/07/2009 08:57

What an interesting question. It has long been bugging me: if they set up a forum to chat to other mums on, why don't they do any of the chatting themselves? It never occurred to me they had other names!

Gawd...I hope they aren't well known YouKnowWhats...

GodzillasBumcheek · 23/07/2009 09:00

Would've been interesting if their alternative names left and went witht the moldies

GodzillasBumcheek · 23/07/2009 09:01

also, they would need other names so's people don't keep sucking up to 'em for a spot on the Round Up!

Dumbledoresgirl · 23/07/2009 09:11

Morningpaper is the one to suck up to if you want a spot on the round-up.

Early Mumsnet is before I started mumsnetting .

DG look I've changed back into idris

GodzillasBumcheek · 23/07/2009 09:21

I know that, DG, but how many newbies d'ou think notice the 'mumsnet' after a name and go into hoover mode?

Dumbledoresgirl · 23/07/2009 09:31

LOL @ hoover mode!

Yes Idris, I did notice. Now, believe this or not, I have already forgotten the name you started this week with! Just stick with the one name please, it is very confusing for us oldies.

ButterbeerAndLemon · 23/07/2009 09:31

MNHQ are all actually hairy-handed truck drivers (the photographs and TV appearances are posed by models and the "maternity leave" episodes merely a cunning ruse to throw us off the scent) and so have no need to do actual chatting on Mumsnet.

IdrisTheDragon · 23/07/2009 13:49

Am going to stay being Idris

TrillianslebAstra · 23/07/2009 20:19

So... any suspicions? Or do they namechange loads to avoid being 'recognised'?

Yes, I know at least one of them

MARGOsBeenDrinkingTea · 23/07/2009 20:22

I know I'm risking being banned forever but I know at least 2 of the MNHQ name changes

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 23/07/2009 20:22

Of course they have other names.

They aren't really called Justine Mumsnet and the other one who I can't remember.

fishie · 23/07/2009 20:25
