I really actually can not stand it!

Can you cap emoticon use to like 20 or 50 in a post. Surely that's more than enough

and cap thread titles to 50/75 characters or something.

Please....

20 or 50 in a post ?!!!!! Do you mean a thread ?

101StressPuppy · 19/05/2005 20:26

I was being generous!

I think 5 emoticons in a post is enough really.

PuffTheMagicDragon · 19/05/2005 20:27

Mumsnet team are sorting a limit on the length of a thread title. Not sure about the emoticons.

101StressPuppy · 19/05/2005 20:27

Wow now I really feel like I was being generous

Can't think why anymore than 5 a post would be needed but ok maybe 10 then.

101StressPuppy · 19/05/2005 20:29

Can they not delete that pathetic thread in the meantime.

I'm soryr but I hardly think cutting and pasting hundreds of smilies is a constructive way of passing the time or using storage space (from a techy point of view).

Perhaps I should revert back to swearing in titles on threads...

Just being nosey - what thread 101SP?

ssd · 19/05/2005 21:03

I'm nosey too!

SoupDragon · 19/05/2005 21:09

I have no problem whatsoever with people pasting 100s of smilies in a thread as I can easily avoid that. What can't be avoided is seeing that stupid thread title in the list of active conversations. I don't want to miss all the chat threads just because of it.

People can be as childish as they like in a thread but mucking about with stupid thread titles when it's clearly annoying a lot of people is just plain selfish.

101StressPuppy · 19/05/2005 21:11

actually SD I think I agree wih you, it is the thread title more that what's in it. At least you can aviod the content.

I agree, don't want to miss the other chat threads.

what stupid thread title...being duumb here????

SoupDragon · 19/05/2005 21:14

I think thread titles are where you need to show the most consideration for others. It doesn't matter what's in the thread be it swearing, explicit stuff or just downright silly. A thread title should make it apparent what is in the thread so people don't have to see it if they don't want to.

A thread title that is so irritating just doesn't give you that option.

101StressPuppy · 19/05/2005 21:15

I bow to the SD, you are absolutely right. Going to sssshhhh now before I sound like a right brown-noser

SoupDragon · 19/05/2005 21:17

Just what I want, a puppy sniffing my bum.

101StressPuppy · 19/05/2005 21:19

I pant well too. The only downside is I have the occassional piddle on the floor, I just can't quite get the hang of this house-training

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 19/05/2005 21:19

Get yourself out of "site stuff" and into "potty training" - you're making a mess.

101StressPuppy · 19/05/2005 21:22

sorry, don't rub my nose in it, ok?! I'll wag my liddle-widdle tail and look cute.

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 19/05/2005 21:24

I said Potty Training not Chat. Go and mop it up...

I'm off to bed. There had better not be a mess in the morning

101StressPuppy · 19/05/2005 21:26

aaaaawwwww, hhuh huh hhuh
