Stripping out markup languange from first line of post

Hi Tech,

Would it be an easy fix to strip out some of the HTML coding you sometimes see when users have highlighted text in bold etc. in the first line of their post ? It is visible in the thread 'preview' line as blah etc... IYSWIM..

...ya know, 'puters bein clever an all that...

He's busy working on important stuff like THE LIBRARY (gentle nudge for Tech there ) so stop finding other jobs for him to do.

AND PLEASE can we have a 'rolls eyes' emoticon?
