Mumsnet Census 2009 Feedback

MNHQ - Thought you may appreciate some feedback with regard to the questions on the 2009 Mumsnet Census.

On the first page it asks gender, on a subsequent page it asks if you are pregnant. If male is selected on page 1, then should it ask about being pregnant on page 2. Guess that is a limitation of the survey software coding.

Question 31 - Great that you are asking about mobile phone use. But the choices are a little odd in my view:
All The Time
Sometimes
Rarely

All The Time is probably quite unlikely. 'Sometimes' doesn't do justification to those of us who surf mumsnet via a mobile on a daily basis. Next time, could we have Daily as a choice?

Shouldn't it just have said 'are you or your partner expecting a baby?'?' to solve that?

I'm just being picky... overall it is a great survey - everyone should complete it... Mumsnet 2009 Census

Thanks for feedback - sadly it's too late to change now, but we'll take the comments on board for the next one. Think daily use probable comes under all the time for mobile but agree it could be clearer.

We'll also start a new thread to try and get more folks to fill it in (then they can come on this thread and moan offer feedback about it )

Thanks again
MNHQ

@ win an O2 Joggler - prob best to remove the feedback thread first

fruitshootsandheaves · 11/06/2009 16:00

I did it but I'm not sure mine went through as my computer threw a complete wobbly and froze when I clicked send. My answers were incoherent babble really in depth too

Peachy · 11/06/2009 16:04

Have done

The pedant in me wanted carer as a category as well as SAHM, but that's about it

MerlinsBeard · 11/06/2009 16:05

Q31 - do you access MN on a mobile phone?

my real answer - No but i have Tried, it's the pop up that means i can't log in properly!!

Q3 how long does each session last?

I never leave - LET ME OUT!!!

Peachy · 11/06/2009 16:10

You do relaise you're going to end up with several large priory bills for addiction therapy after people start wondering how much time they do, actually, spend on here?.......

Peachy · 11/06/2009 16:23

Where it lists the other parenting sites....no mention of Moldies then

LIZS · 11/06/2009 16:52

Would be scary interesting to compare the estimates of time spent m'netting to actual usage !

snigger · 11/06/2009 17:30

I toyed with putting "timed access" on the list of site improvements, but reckoned even if it existed, I'd only override it anyway.

Flamesparrow · 11/06/2009 17:41

lol am I relieved to not have a joggler then?

Hulababy · 11/06/2009 18:02

Have done it

I was honest - my laptop, if on, always has a MN tab open - I refresh as I pass

MerlinsBeard · 11/06/2009 19:27

The Joggler is actually fondled often BUT if i had paid for it it would be a bloody expensive clock/calender!!
