MNHQ, What is going on?

I realise it is not your fault but MN seems to be going down three or four times a day at the moment. Is there any news about what is going on or when it is likely to be sorted?

I know I am being unreasonably demanding but I am addicted! (and have you seen what happens when large groups of addicts are forced into cold turkey detox?)

Hello. And yes, we know - and are just as shaking with withdrawal frustrated as you are, believe me!

We're on the case, KingCanuteIAm

Overmydeadbody · 19/05/2009 10:48

When id this happening? I haven't noticed it going down (yet)

KingCanuteIAm · 19/05/2009 10:50

Oh good, for a moment I had a vision that you were all throwing your hand up in despair and hitting the bars

Anything I can get for you shed dwellers?

OMDB, if you have not noticed you are clearly not around often enough, Lightweight

Periodically the site is unavailable, for ages sometimes. Tis very upsetting

I hope you are getting some sort of refund from the data centre.

I have had to mop my kitchen floor

"I realise it is not your fault" Oi, King, who says it's not my fault?!

We've been suffering some major infrastructure problems. It's actually been down once a day, but for relatively long periods. This morning it was only 15 minutes or so.

We are taking all the necessary steps to get this problem resolved and hope to have it completely licked later today.

Apologies for the inconvenience, housework delays and unplanned pregnancies that may ensue.

flowerybeanbag · 19/05/2009 10:55

I was thinking that was very generous of you KC, to assume it wasn't MNHQ's fault. Don'tcha know that any technical problems whether at work or on MN are immediately to be completely blamed on the nearest member of IT staff regardless of circumstances?

Marthasmama · 19/05/2009 10:56

Don't forget those of us who might actually have to do some 'parenting' while the site is down.

KingCanuteIAm · 19/05/2009 11:02

Hah - I knew you would admit claim responsibility if I drew you out

I thought it has been down more than that - but it could just be that being on here 24/7 means the days are running together

So I can stop shaking then? Luckily for me you have managed to keep most of these down times inside school hours or after bedtime so I have not had to do too much interacting with my family

Thank you yetmoretech
