Well there are plenty of the normal, pleasant threads. Probably worth just contributing to them and drowning the nastier ones!

Lulumama · 15/05/2009 16:17

it has been totally and utterly bonkers lately

nastiness, trolling, katie blardy hopkins fan club taking over

and no-one answered my question about blackstrap mollassess.

i am this far (holds fingers millimetres apart) from flouncing !

StealthPolarBear · 15/05/2009 16:18

backstrap mollassess?
Shoes or food?

onagar · 15/05/2009 16:18

It's an illusion. The threads that stand out are the controversial ones. There are 1000s of quiet, friendly, helpful discussions going on. So I don't think they have anything to worry about really.

NeedaNewName · 15/05/2009 16:19

Oh don't flounce Lulu, I'm sure KH doesn't really have any fans - surely people who have been positive about her are in her pay as I've never met anyone who's a fan.

Come join us on the Emma Forbes should take over from Fern thread

Lulumama · 15/05/2009 16:19

food, like treacle. smells weird though

southeastastra · 15/05/2009 16:19

i wish someone would tell me exactly what has happened as i have no idea.

backstrap mollassess sounds like a shoe type thing.

SoupDragon · 15/05/2009 16:19

you mean like extremely nasty people who namechange to stir and cause trouble by posting stuff about how other people are nasty?

Northernlurker · 15/05/2009 16:20

What were you trying to do with molassess?

AMumInScotland · 15/05/2009 16:21

Can't say I've noticed any particular level of nastiness at the moment - jut the microceleb crap, but that's not exactly "nasty" just a pain.

Lulumama · 15/05/2009 16:22

i like emma forbes. she has Nice Hair.

i won;t flounce, i;'d hve to do housework

Lulumama · 15/05/2009 16:23

i wasn;t sure NL< i bought it as it was in the health food shop and thought it was good fgor you, but it smells like marmite, so not done anything with iyt yet

MrsMattie · 15/05/2009 16:24

Well, these phases come...and they go.

Ride the storm. The trolls get bored after a while. And I'm sure Katie's Hopkins 15 mins of fame will be over pretty soon. Hopefully.

Is it a full moon, btw? What happened to the bit of the site where you could check what was going on in the waxing/waning stakes?

Greensneeze · 15/05/2009 16:25

Who the fuck is Katie Hopkins?

FluffyBunnyGoneBad · 15/05/2009 16:26

It's a type of sugar Lulumama, you can cook with it (apparantly) or turn it into nasty toffee.

Northernlurker · 15/05/2009 16:26

I think molassess is a victim of the Nora Ephron rule. In 'Heartburn' her character says that she spent months putting capers into eveything before realising that anything that tastes good with capers in tastes better withem out. Same is true of molassess I fear!

SoupDragon · 15/05/2009 16:26

I asked exactly that question Greeny.

Saltire · 15/05/2009 16:26

Who is Katie Hopkins?

suwoo · 15/05/2009 16:27

Lulu, come to my ligament pain thread and advise me please

You can't flounce us pregnant women need you!

Lulumama · 15/05/2009 16:29

thank you NL!! that is sound advice.

oh su, i will be along soon

need wine

well, i;'m happy now, my question about molassess has been answered

all is well in my world!

Meglet · 15/05/2009 16:29

I like capers .

No idea about the molasses.

Greensneeze · 15/05/2009 16:29

lol

She sounds like a bitch

she clearly has a deap-seated terror of actually growing up...

Greensneeze · 15/05/2009 16:29

deep, deep

Greensneeze · 15/05/2009 16:30

capers are little zingy buds of deliciousness

molasses can be used in cakes like dark fruit cakes etc

and gingerbread
