Are you free to go to Covent Garden, London TOMORROW (without kids) to try out a virtual personal trainer?

Quite a few Mumsnetters are already off to this special event that EA Sports are holding in Covent Garden on Wednesday May 13th between 11am and 4pm. But a few of the original volunteers have had to drop out and we have around 10 places now free for tomorrow.

The details of the event are below. If you think you can make it click here and we'll be in touch to confirm with you today

The event consists of:

~ A free nutritional lunch (always a priority!)

~ A chance to meet celebrity sportsman Austin Healey, nutritionist Nigel Denby and Emma Forbes

~ A chance to win a Nintendo Wii and an advanced copy of the EA Sports Active game (the one that's like a virtual personal trainer)

Everyone who attends will receive a fitness bag with goodies and a chance to be among the first to play the game. They'll also be given the chance to sign up for a 30 day trial of the game. All those who sign up to the 30 day trial will be given a free copy of the game to test.

Travelling expenses up to £10 will be paid, but unfortunately they can't accommodate children on the day (something to do with it being held at the PR company's offices so health and safety issues). Dress is casual - you can come in full fitness gear, but you can also play the game in office clothes/ jeans etc.

You can spend as long or as little time as you like but they recommend that you have at least an hour or two free.
If you're interested, the link, again, is here

Thanks

Ooh this sounds fun, and is just near work so I could pop down easily...

Always up for a free lunch

Have just filled in the thing so hopefully I can go...

foofi · 12/05/2009 17:53

Saltire - I'm glad I'm not the only one!

Noisesinmyhead · 12/05/2009 20:33

Am I too late? (Haven't bothered to click through yet so sorry if it's obvious when I do!)

AnnMumsnet · 12/05/2009 21:21

noises, I've emailed you! Thanks. (sorry was out at Tesco )

LouLovesAeroplaneJelly · 12/05/2009 21:44

Typical, I am all excited about a nice day out and now two of the kids are vomiting left right and centre. I have no idea if this will last until tomorrow but since the school will send them home if they cough funny I will be keeping them home. I am sorry but I am going to have to pull out. I hope this does not cause you any problems. I hope you can find some replacements.
Lou

AnnMumsnet · 12/05/2009 22:52

louloves...give us a clue on your name then! Can't find you on my list - email me ann@mumsnet . com Ta

SOLOisMeredithGrey · 12/05/2009 22:57

Austin Healey is a sports personality(rugby)and was on Strictly Come Dancing's last series! I think he was 'placed' third by being voted off. He was up against Tom Chambers and Rachel Stevens. Austin is a great dancer

foofi · 13/05/2009 07:10

Yes, I had googled! More interested in the bag of goodies and the free train ticket to London than the celebrities, me...

hobbgoblin · 13/05/2009 11:03

The window cleaner has just come and used up all my money. I can't get there

SOLOisMeredithGrey · 13/05/2009 23:11

The freebie bag is lovely! drinks bottle, towel and work out mat! That was the long blue bag. No idea what was in the smaller pink one though...anyone care to tell?!

Tigerbear · 14/05/2009 00:34

Didn't see the smaller ones, but I was v impressed with the blue bag, and I've just started doing Pilates and needed a fitness mat, so very happy with that.

Did anyone else go? I worked up quite a sweat on the Wii!

SOLOisMeredithGrey · 14/05/2009 00:39

e too tiger! was very surprised!

SOLOisMeredithGrey · 14/05/2009 00:40

...building up a sweat I mean.

Tigerbear · 14/05/2009 00:51

I want one now though - hope I win in the draw tomorrow!

foofi · 14/05/2009 09:17

Smaller pink one? Didn't get one of those so feel very disappointed now

Am looking forward to trying out the game though

futurity · 14/05/2009 09:41

didn't see a small pink bag?

My arms are aching this morning!

NeedaNewName · 14/05/2009 11:16

I didn't see a small pink one either!

Arms also aching, but great fun.

Oh and i did change my name, tweetle sounded far too twee, trouble is I couldn;t cme up with anything better than this, I'm obviously better at inline skating than coming up wiht a new name!

SOLOisMeredithGrey · 14/05/2009 22:50

my arms hurt too! It was fun though wasn't it?! [grin
