Any London MNetters free this Saturday (9 May) to give us a hand?

We've got a stall at a Children's Day in Marylebone High St this Saturday (11am-5pm).

Is there anyone who'd be able to do a stint selling copies of the Toddler guide for an hour?

Address: St Marylebone Parish Church Grounds, Marylebone High St, W1 5LT.

There are various activities going on, including pottery painting, craft workshops, chocolate making and there'll be lots
of stalls with children's clothing and accessories, and nice food.

If you can help, could you indicate what time so we can do some sort of rough rota?

Heartfelt thanks, plus a free book and lots of coffee for helpers.

I don't live in London, but would have loved to have done this otherwise. I was at college very close to Marylebone High Street and loved window shopping there (obviously, as a starving student I could never afford to actually shop there!).

Bump for you.

McDreamy · 05/05/2009 14:28

Sounds great but DD is getting christened this Saturday otherwise I would have come in - sorry

AnguaVonUberwald · 05/05/2009 14:56

hmmm, I would love to, but I think 13month old DS would probably not cooperate!

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 05/05/2009 15:05

Yup, def could do it. Any time will be good. How long would you need me for? A bloody good excuse for some me time .

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 05/05/2009 15:10

I can, preferably later in the day (lazy arse)

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 05/05/2009 15:10

any email address we should have for more information?

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 05/05/2009 15:12

the devil that's great I'd rather earlier. so I can sneak off after for some window shopping !

spidermama if you come we could go to that shop!

GeraldineMumsnet · 05/05/2009 15:27

Thank you I'll be there to set up and it opens at 11am, so Damon, could you do, say, 12-1pm? And TDWP could you do 2-3pm? I'll cover the 1pm-2pm slot if I can't force persuade someone else from HQ to help.

Anyone else want a nice bit of shopping in Marylebone High St, with an aside of stall-holding?

Perfect! Great!

GeraldineMumsnet · 05/05/2009 15:51

Thanks. Here are more details about the market. I don't know where our pitch will be yet, but it's usually set out in a circle, so won't be hard to find us.

I can see this turning into a family outing

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 05/05/2009 16:22

I can do from 1pm onwards, for a while if needs be.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 05/05/2009 16:27

(kids are at my aunts for the day, yay!)

GeraldineMumsnet · 05/05/2009 17:07

whatever suits you best, TDWP. I'll put you down for 1-2pm then and we'll see how it goes. Great, thanks

If the worse come to the worst will it be okay to take my dd1 there. She'd love it and be well behaved too. What happens if it rains like today?

GeraldineMumsnet · 08/05/2009 10:48

hope the weather's better than this tomorrow - pouring down in norf london currently.

We're on stand 38 and I'm the one with the Gary Lineker haircut (but not the ears or tan).

Oh, and we've got a gazebo thing to keep us dry (but no chairs). Of course, DD1 is welcome, Damon.

No chairs! That's it I'm not coming (hee)

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 08/05/2009 11:10

The forecast is pretty good for tomorrow, cross fingers.

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 08/05/2009 12:51

Great. Oh she'll love it [see when DLP will be made to eat her hat by her own dd]. Will bring a pram or a mini foldable chair for her in case.

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 10/05/2009 15:40

Thanks for a lovely day and for the coffe, which I forgot to say on the day. Whenever you need help give me a shout .

GeraldineMumsnet · 11/05/2009 09:26

Thank you! Great to meet you and your DC and it was helpful that you were there
