I think we should have a WWYD topic.....

....either as well as or instead of AIBU

I think it invites opinions and experiences but without the red-rag factor

anyone agree with me, or AIBU?

YANBU - don't think it'll happen though...

squeaver · 01/05/2009 19:30

Actually I've thought before that that would be a good addition. It might stop some of the more inflammatory AIBU threads.

Greensleeves · 01/05/2009 19:31

I think if we had WWYD as well it would give people a choice - so anyone posting on AIBU would be choosing the more "robust" style of debate

OP posts:
kalo12 · 01/05/2009 19:32

isn't chatting online anonymously about your concerns/daily musings entirely opening up the opportunity for others to comment a WWYD in itself

eg baby names ... her's my list what do you think = what would you do?

etc etc

it might make all other topics redundant

Greensleeves · 01/05/2009 20:41

well, in that sense all topics are AIBU too. But the section title gives an indication of what sort of responses the OP is hoping for, no?

We could have a WWNetMumsdo for anyone feeling a bit stressed.

EachPeachPearMum · 01/05/2009 21:02

Maybe it should be called existential dilemmas?

Greensleeves · 01/05/2009 21:18

if we're going to be uber-poncy it should be existential dilemmae

OP posts:
EachPeachPearMum · 01/05/2009 21:20

I believe it's actually 'dilemmata' isn't it?

EachPeachPearMum · 01/05/2009 21:22

odd... I thought plural of lemma was lemmata, but dilemmae seems in usage.

What do I know? It's all greek to me

I think its a good idea - anything to cut down on the amount of AIBU threads that dominate active convos.

Evening all. We'll put it to the vote when office hours resume
