Mumsnet On Your Mobile - Anyone else having problems recently?

Mumsnet has worked fine on my Nokia (with Opera Mini) for quite some time now - started prior to the recent changes.

In the past couple of weeks, the browser behaviour has changed...
Instead of starting at the top of a page when it has loaded, the browser starts at the BOTTOM of the page.

Anyone else getting a similar thing happening?

There was a thread here where twelveyeargap was having problems.

nannynick · 28/03/2009 14:09

It was the iPhone thread that prompted me to start this one - as I don't use an iPhone, thought it better to start a new thread than to post on the iPhone one.
I do wonder if the issues are connected. Though I can still post messages, so no login problem. It's just a little annoying to have to scroll a long way... I can't find a keypress shortcut on Opera Mini to go to the top of the page - the 'go to beginning of content' shortcut takes me to the bottom of the page.

I was only having problems on Facebook on my iPhone & I think it was only when I was on 3G (I was at school, in an area where our wireless coverage is a bit dodgy & the phone was flicking between wireless & 3G)I got a text only version & the links didn't work (or at least not before I got too impatient to wait)

But I have noticed that the icon bar at the bottom on Facebook is moving up the page when I scroll down.

No problems on MN yet though - I'm on New are you Classic?

btw - does the Nokia support Flash & Java?

nannynick · 28/03/2009 14:46

I'm on New
My Nokia supports a version of Flash - Flash Lite 2.0 - and Java ME (MIDP 2.0, CLDC 1.1)
Not sure if the Opera Mini 4.1 browser uses those though.
Opera Mini 2.0 is available, so will try installing that and seeing if it does the same thing.

Have Mumsnet set such that it displays unlimited number of messages per page. Am now changing that so that it use PAGES. Though not sure I will like viewing as Pages when on my computer.

I'm getting confused with these version numbers - lol - latest version of Opera Mini I have now installed is 4.2.

I have a fix, well easy scroll method. In Opera Mini, use shortcut #3 to jump to top of page.
