<<sob>> Tech, why doesn't MN work on my iPhone any more?

There's no formatting, I can't log in and the links don't work.

If I can't log in, how can I get "old" mumsnet back? It used to work on my iPhone before.

Recently I had problems with not being able to post where it forced me to review the message before posting and then when I hit post it told me the message was blank. Now nothing works at all.

Any ideas?

I should mention that I've cleared history, cookies and cache in Safari and refreshed loads of times but it hasn't helped.

Have you tried turning the iPhone off then on again? I find that fixes a lot of bugs.

No, that doesn't work. I think it might be a Java issue. Java doesn't work on Apple.

Tech, does the "new" mumsnet work on a lot of Java? All the new fancy bits I mean. That would stop it working.

"Log in" used to pop me up a new page to do my login, but doesn't work any more. This happens with a lot of Java websites.

Any chance of getting a "mobile mumsnet" link? (I mean, even better an iPhone application, but I realise you're not made of time and money!) You know how Facebook has a web address starting with m.facebook with a more basic HTML site at the end of it. That would work on an iPhone. Just no Java! Sun Microsystems are working on it, I hear, but I can't wait that long.

I've not had any problems with my Iphone connection. What we need though is an mumsnet app like facebook has done.

BitOfFun · 27/03/2009 12:47

Mine is working same as usual too.

i am sorry to say that it may just be you. i do most of my mn-ing on my iphone at the mo. an app would be fun though.

I've never (touch wood) had this on MN, but I have had facebook comeup like this occasionally on the iPhone - it's normally fine next time.

Looks like my last software update might have knocked out all the settings on my iPhone. In the Safari settings, the javascript was turned off and the pop up blocker was turned on, which was why I couldn't get the log in page.
