I have to keep logging in when I click threads I'm on or threads I started, even though I only logged in minutes ago.

Why?

It has stopped doing it now

It's doing it again, what is happening? Is anyone else getting this?

Hi, can we ask what browser you're using?

Sheeta · 13/03/2009 13:09

are you getting to Mumsnet via a link in blogger or something? Mine keeps doing it when I cilck the link on by blogroll.

insertwittynicknameHERE · 13/03/2009 13:10

It's firefox (is that the browser?) on a Mac.

I know nothing about computers

It is still doing it but sporadically now.

Hmmmm, firefox should be ok - I'm going to pick Tech's brains and get back to you. Email me at [email protected] if you keep having problems.

Lol SGM, DD broke DH's lap top and we ended up getting a brand new Imac (I miss the lap top, I could lounge on the sofa and MN lol)

I will have to try logging on with our old computer as that is still on safari and see if that is okay.

I also have to keep logging in if I(for instance)go to my mumsnet(log in)go to registration details(no problem)go back to talk. Go to my mumsnet in order to name change or do something on profile and I have to log in again and only just 5 minutes before hand logged in...
Never had this until very recently and I've not changed anything!

insertwittynicknameHERE · 13/03/2009 13:22

Not just me then, I thought I had done something to the computer

solowitch · 13/03/2009 13:31

Mine's on IE.

HelenMumsnet · 14/03/2009 11:44

Is this still happening to you, insertwittynicknameHERE?

solo: Every time you go to MyMumsnet, it should ask you to log in. This is to make sure no one else who has access to your computer goes in and changes your registration details without your knowledge.

solowitch · 15/03/2009 00:27

HelenMumsnet, it's never done that before. Not in one session certainly. If I sign in and then check my public profile and then go back to threads I'm on, then back to My Mumsnet, it asks me to sign in again. Surely that isn't right? or maybe it is and I was just lucky before?

HelenMumsnet · 15/03/2009 14:49

Oh, I see. I didn't realise it didn't happen for you before.

Shall check for you on Monday to make sure it's meant to happen every time.

solowitch · 15/03/2009 23:51

Thank you!

insertwittynicknameHERE · 16/03/2009 06:15

No it's stopped doing it now, I am confused lol (very easy to do at the mo lol).

Still doing it for me, I just tried it. I leave it all signed in, so no need to sign in everytime I go onto pc. Then I went from threads I'm on to 'my mn', signed in, looked at my public details, then went back to talk, threads i'm on, back to my mn...sign in again. It's just that I've never needed to keep signing in and it's annoying.
