I want to change;
Number of threads in active convos
Days to check threads Im on

Every time I click save changes, it reloads the same as it was before.

Also, what is/are thread stickies and pinning?

Thanks

Betty: sorry you're having trouble with Customise. Which browser are you using?

Oh and thread stickies: that's where we 'stick' a thread at the top of Active Conversations (like the Book one and the Crocs one are now).

You can choose not to ignore stickies if you like - but we'll have to get your Customise working first!

Aha - are you using Internet Explorer? I had the same problem for ages until lovely Helen (smarm smarm) suggested that I download Firefox and run mumsnet through that.

I did it, and the good thing is that now I've saved my settings through Firefox, I can open mumsnet as usual with Internet explorer and the settings stay saved (if you see what I mean).

Ooh, feel honoured, have actually got a reply straight from MNHQ .

Yes, Im using internet explorer, but managed to change from 'classics' to the new look with no trouble.

I managed to do that too, but then couldn't make any other changes.

As far as I know, there are still a few problems with Internet Explorer.

Try googling "Firefox" and you can download it for free.

Do I then have to use that as my browser, or just for MN?

I just use it for MN.

You can set it so that your computer doesn't default to it. It gives you the option during set up. It will also copy all your "favourites" over for you in case you want to use it as the default browser.

BettySwollux · 05/03/2009 22:24

Can you copy google bookmarks?

Sorry, don't know.

BettySwollux · 05/03/2009 23:12

Ah, I just reset to 'classic', changed the stuff I wanted to, saved and then changed back to new look.
Think its worked .
