How about a "jump to the bottom of this thread" option?

At the top of a thread where you can "flip", "hide" etc there could be a "jump to the bottom" option.

I don't want to flip threads, I like reading downwards but sometimes on long threads (or even short ones) I want to go down to bottom and only read the last few threads. It can be quite annoying (only in a minor way of course) to have scroll down through possibly hundreds of posts.

I know you can have a thread open in a different window but usually I'm not that interested in a thread.

What does anyone else think? Only a suggestion.

I just use flip and then scroll the screen up instead of down. Seems the same to me as jumping to the end.

What/where is the end button? I agree this would be useful too.

Ooo pressing end took me right to the bottom of the page. Never knew that, thanks. Still had to go up past the topics and message box though. I was thinking the bottom of the screen could be level with the bottom of the last post, enabling one to see the last 2, 3, 4 posts or more depending on their length.

Whenever I flip I seem to run into trouble with random threads being flipped etc.

oh and BTW MNHQ since the change when I try to start a thread I write it, press preview, the preview comes up but the message box is empty (meaning I can't amend) and when I press post it says "You can't post a blank message". But when I go to active convos it's posted, I suspect possibly the time when I pressed "preview", as it's often dropped down the list a bit.

Does anyone else have this problem, is it one you know about?

I can't see it on my keyboard. It is a laptop - should it still have it?

On my laptop is on the far right near the bottom, just above the arrow keys.

It's definitely a step in the right direction.

But Marla you still "only" end up at the box and have to scroll up.

Still, seeing as the thread isn't in the hundreds of posts by now I accept most people are managing to get by with the option I suggested and that maybe MNHQ won't waste ask Tech to waste his time putting it in.

I use the Add a Message link, as my iPhone doesn't have an end button - you only have to scroll up a little way.

Ah but I start threads from the bottom so always scoll right down to read them
