Customising my topic list to show all doesn't work...

Hello lovely MNHQ especially Tech

I understand I can customise the topic list to show all. I have been into the Customise bit and lo and behold, there is an option to do that. It currently says 'Please select one'. Options are Yes and No. I select Yes, then click save. Page refreshes and lo and behold 'Please select one' is back, and no change has been made.
