May I ask how the speed of the site is holding up since the changes, please?

I'm a bit concerned, as I keep finding threads that have been bumped by the OP maybe three times through the course of a day and still have no answer. Just now on threads I'm on, I'd killed maybe the last 8 or so - it's like nobody is posting.

Obviously people are - and maybe I'm being a thread killer, but I know when I tried the new system I found it incredibly slow, it was a real hassle to post.

I changed back to classic and it's like normal for me now but I do wonder how many people have been put off or are still really struggling to post on the new format.

I'd hate to think people wanted to post but were being put off by how long it takes or how tricky it is.

I thought you might have a thing that tells you how many posts are being made per minute/hour etc, I am sure you're keeping an eye on it but it does seem to me that at least currently, some people are not getting answers when perhaps they really need them

...and perhaps it is offset by the fact that the old format was scary to a lot of newbies. I don't know - which is why I'm asking!!

I personally think it looks much better but only works for me (thinking about ease of posting) on the classic format.

Mine WAS working fine until tonight.

Unbelievably slow now! Other sites are fine, it's just here.

I gave up trying to open threads in every other part of the site as it's taking so long it's making me want to smack my head repeatedly off my keyboard.
