is there anyway to keep the Active page from constantly refreshing?

sorry if this has already been done but it's driving me crazy...

i go to the Active page and then click on threads that i want to read. after i read the thread, i click 'back' and expect to see the Active page just as it was. however with the new design it constantly refreshes and i can never get through the list of Active threads. It sounds like i'm being nitpicky, but it is really driving me crazy. Clicking on mumsnet classic doesn't seem to help.

Is there anything I can do?

Get a browser that does tabs (IE7, Firefox, probably most others) and open threads in a new tab rather than in the same window. That way you keep the original Active page open.

yeah, was trying to avoid that but may have to do so.... am i actually the only person who found this really frustrating?

I like that it constantly refreshes, how many active conversations do you have?
I have 100 so I don't miss any juicy ones.

currently i have 50, i guess i could increase the number. the issue for me is losing the order of them.

[i am starting to feel a bit like a freak now]

I've always done it in new tabs, so I didn't even notice it had changed.

Oh thank you ladies - I never knew about tabs! Sorted!
