Hairspray the Musical - has anyone taken advantage of the kids go free on Mondays yet (or seen a Hairspray ad with Mumsnet in it?)

Hi all

Just wondered if anyone had been to see Hairspray yet on a Monday? I was there with my tribe on 12th Jan and kept looking at folks with kids and wondering if they were Mumsnetters - there were no fruit shoots or greggs' sausage rolls on offer in the interval so it was tricky to tell

Anyway if you haven't been and are thinking of going we can't recommend it highly enough, it really was excellent (and we promise we don't get any commission out of this ) We came out buzzing with excitement and the children are still talking about it (and just about getting over the embarrassment of seeing their mum bopping about at the end).

The only thing missing was the Mumsnet blurb that was supposed to be in the programme and left lying around the entrance as part of the deal. I have spoken since with the organisers of the offer and they said they'd look into it, but short of going again next Monday (and much as we'd like to, I don't think the coffers will allow, even with kids going free!) it's tricky to check, so if you went this week, or are planning on going in the next few weeks could you check and report back?

Likewise there are supposed to be new posters with Monday Madness, kids go free with Mumsnet.com on them, but despite travelling up and down several tube escalators needlessly, team Mumsnet have yet to spot one, so if anyone does find one, or sees an ad anywhere else, do put us out of our misery and tell us where to look.

Thanks in advance and again if you live in or near London or are planning a trip to town that includes a Monday, we really can't recommend the show highly enough, it's fab.

Cheers

MNHQ

I was in London the week before Christmas with dd1 (who was 4.3) and she spotted the hairspray poster at victoria train station and said Mummy theres your computer ladies (the mumsnet logo ) she loves the film but not sure shes really old enough to sit through the show (she is an ants in pants type of child)

eandh · 27/01/2009 12:34

oh and I didnt see any posters on the tube (well that I can remember but to be honest I was concentrating more on dd1 who has a habit of slipping on escalators!)

Tried to book over the phone and told this offer is not available on the phone. Is there an online promotional code we need to quote to book online. Thanks

carriemumsnet · 19/03/2009 19:43

Apologies for delayed response - link to buy tickets is here

Anyone else been?
