If you (still) feel the need to discuss Moldies, please do it here so folks can hide this if they want to.

Well hopefully the title says it all. There's been a suggestion, and we agree, that as we did with Baby P and the Mc Canns we just have one thread where anyone who feels they still have anything to add on this subject can post and those who'd rather move on can hide it away.

It feels strange to put this thread in site stuff as we are definitely not wanting to encourage further discussion of Moldies (we have presents to wrap too you know ) but we weren't sure where else to put it.

We will delete any new Moldies threads that are started, so please feel free to report them in case we miss any (what with wrapping the presents and all...)

And if you do want to carry on the discussion please remember that Mumsnet's here to make everyone's lives easier and not the reverse, and that Christmas is a time of goodwill to all mumsnetters past, present and future

Thanks,
MNHQ

The week after Christmas is normally pretty dull news-wise. Apart from attempted genocide, there's not a lot going on.

Still, I can't work out how such shitty journalism gets past even desperate editors ...

Swedes, might I just tell you, once again, that you make me laugh with snot-trails? WHEN I am on desert Island disks you will be my luxury.

This unwonted masculine attention has sent me skipping with delight to my mantua-maker. I am Most Impressed, Sir, at your Evident Desire to shield your Good Lady from Unnecessary Agitation.

(Really)

LOL at the Rev, re Rusty on page 2. You are very bad.

Mrjustabout (welcome to our strange midst btw) I can't understand that either - in fact this morning fuelled by Christmas cake for brekker I got all conspiracy theoryesque about it. I really don't do conspiracy theories but it's hard to believe that journalists on national newspapers are so incompetent they can't read a web page?

rebelmum72 · 29/12/2008 22:06

Have nothing to say on the subject matter except that I suspect I have been spending too much time on this thread: have just offered my dh a moldie instead of a brownie

Rebel you know you've been talkingn about it too much when your dh declines the moldie and asks for 'a nice plain, old fashioned mnet please'

NorthernLurker · 29/12/2008 22:10

Was that SPB's thread about mould in her shower? It got deleted really? Poor lass - she'll never get shot of the mould at this rate!

MrJustAbout · 29/12/2008 22:10

Onebat - I had to look up mantua-maker. Fortunately, it was less of a shock than fluffer.

RevJust - tsk, tsk. It was a Mantilla, not a Mantua. At least, I remember our wedding day.

onebatmotherofgoditschilly · 29/12/2008 22:10

OOh how elegant, rev. That sounds lovely. (And 'Wedding-day' even lovelier. You really are from Trollope, aren;t you two?)

Retrospective snoort at Wilf's Joanna

(I won;t be the first and doubtless I wont' be the last...)

mantua
mantilla

MrJustAbout · 29/12/2008 22:13

That, and the psychological warfare.

NorthernLurker · 29/12/2008 22:14

How is he at Trivial Pursuit Rev? I always whip my husbands backside playing that. Understandably he's reluctant to do so often...

onebatmotherofgoditschilly · 29/12/2008 22:14

Gosh! Is it 22.14 already? Must go and make supper!

rebelmum72 · 29/12/2008 22:15

Can I just ask something completely non-related for a moment, seeing as everyone is on here?

Does anyone remember a thread from a while back which was about funny things our lo say, and someone mentioned going past the pub on the bus and her (I think) dd saying "Oh no, the pub's closed" in a really loud and disappointed voice...? I am sniggering and sniggering just remembering it and would like to read over it again as I could do with a good giggle.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would most appreciate it
