Well hopefully the title says it all. There's been a suggestion, and we agree, that as we did with Baby P and the Mc Canns we just have one thread where anyone who feels they still have anything to add on this subject can post and those who'd rather move on can hide it away.

It feels strange to put this thread in site stuff as we are definitely not wanting to encourage further discussion of Moldies (we have presents to wrap too you know ) but we weren't sure where else to put it.

We will delete any new Moldies threads that are started, so please feel free to report them in case we miss any (what with wrapping the presents and all...)

And if you do want to carry on the discussion please remember that Mumsnet's here to make everyone's lives easier and not the reverse, and that Christmas is a time of goodwill to all mumsnetters past, present and future

Thanks,
MNHQ

WSW - have you namechanged to stir, because your only posts have been on this subject and quite frankly your one on the Vicious Namecalling thread was rather nasty.

When they couldnt get the other forum to work they asked LL to help out and she did. Without her its doubtful mouldies could have existed.

I'm sad she is feeling crap but a lot of people's opinion has changed of her. She has let a lot of people down"

Running the risk of being misquoted in the national press by quoting someone else () but this is a big load of manure, LucyLou.

lovecat · 29/12/2008 18:36

And Lucylou is another who's only ever posted on those two threads, to agree with WSW.

Really, ladies, get a life!

it was a secret - and justine didn't mentio it at all!

CaptainUnderpants · 29/12/2008 18:43

October !

So quite a few would have kept it a secret from the rest of us then !

So did Justine 'expose ' them then and tell them not to do it ?

WSW and LLou have just kicked off on my "lets be nice to each other" thread;

FFS.

I give up.

pooka · 29/12/2008 18:46

It all started here:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=_chat&threadid=669385-Oh-what-an-interesting-blog-entry-this-week-MNHQ- and#13621161

And then went on to many other threads until they were all full too.

But the OP in terms of sudden public realisation that there was a moldies site, including justine's MNHQ comments are in the link.

Tortington · 29/12/2008 18:46

ok, i may be proven wrong, but justines part in all this was to write a post on the MN blog telling the WWW that old members had left and made room for new ones ( but much nicer than that)

then twiglett posted that it was hurtful and it all kinda unravelled from there.

hunkermunker · 29/12/2008 18:47

Justine mentioned it twice on Twig's original thread, Custardo. She's since also said she's fine with its existence. If people are carrying on the indignance in her name, I'm really quite sure she'd rather you didn't bother. If it's some other reason, as you were.

Flihgtattendant · 29/12/2008 18:47

OMG I wish this wasn't on my threads now! Surely all this has been gone over and over and over - people, you can read the whole lot on the other threads, or even on this one if you can be bothered. Why is it being rehashed again and again? It's turning into Chines whispers, it's not possible to get a straight factual potted history so please just stop.

catinthehat1 · 29/12/2008 18:48

...its the circle, the circle of life....

LIZS · 29/12/2008 18:48

@ WSW and LL7 - alors please don't assume they represent the majority fo m'netters.

I need to find the part of the thread where we were talking about cocktails

It's kind of hard to do that on my iphone

pagwatch · 29/12/2008 18:49

As there are SOOOO many people on this thread can I just mention that I got some Christian Louboutin shoes from DH for christmas. He chose them and they are lovely. Plain black, kitten heels...

NEIL: [picks up a large bag of seed packets] OK, I've plowed this bit, right. And now I'm going to sow it. [throws packets of seed down] This self-sufficiency thing really is amazing. We sow the seed, right. Nature grows the seed, and then, we eat the seed. And then, after that, we sow the seed, nature grows the seed, and then, we eat the seed. And then, after that again, we sow the seed, nature grows the seed....

RICK: Oh, shut up, Neil! Shut up! Shut up. It's pathetic. I mean, what about radical magazines? What about Kicker boots?! Can we grow them? No, we can't, can we?! They beauty of your plan, Neil, seems to rest on everyone being really into seeds.

NEIL: No no no, Rick. You don't understand the timeless wonder of the whole thing. We. Sow the seed! Nature grows the seed. We eat the seed. And then....

[Rick clobbers Neil with a shovel. Neil collapses, unmoving.]

RICK: All right. Now, shut up. [pause] Come on, get up Neil, there's a lot of work to be done. Neil? Neil?! [bends over, feels the body] Oh, God! Oh, God, I've killed a hippie! I've killed a hippie, and now I'll have to pay. Oh, God. Vyvyan's bound to tell on me, and I'll get sent to prison and raped in the shower by Mr. Big who's in with the warders. Oh! Burn the corpse! Burn the corpse.

[tries to light Neil, but he won't catch fire]
