Well hopefully the title says it all. There's been a suggestion, and we agree, that as we did with Baby P and the Mc Canns we just have one thread where anyone who feels they still have anything to add on this subject can post and those who'd rather move on can hide it away.

It feels strange to put this thread in site stuff as we are definitely not wanting to encourage further discussion of Moldies (we have presents to wrap too you know ) but we weren't sure where else to put it.

We will delete any new Moldies threads that are started, so please feel free to report them in case we miss any (what with wrapping the presents and all...)

And if you do want to carry on the discussion please remember that Mumsnet's here to make everyone's lives easier and not the reverse, and that Christmas is a time of goodwill to all mumsnetters past, present and future

Thanks,
MNHQ

God the name-changing is getting BAD isn't it?

I think we are going to have to start begging MN Towers to limit name changing to once a month or something

Colbeck · 28/12/2008 18:57

Rev doesn't seem to be worried about her supervisor reading her posts, she is worried about being publically misquoted.

You seem to be inventing an issue for her that she doesn't have. She posts carefully she has supervision she is happy with that.

SHE IS NOT HAPPY ABOUT BEING MISQUOTED!!!

Stop twisting things and creating a new problem which doesn't exist. It makes you look petty and spiteful, like you have some other motive perhaps?

"ever-so-slightly self-satisfied online chat forum" is well and truly covered under the defence of fair comment.

onebatmotherofgoditschilly · 28/12/2008 18:59

"I am tempted to tell you what I really think of you because of that comment onebat, but I won't."

Please don't deny yourself on my account Saint George. I've been pretty restrained, I think, so far.

So the truce is over then

Can we start killing each other again

I've got this stash of stale turkey we can chuck around?

JoolsToo · 28/12/2008 19:01

"God, who could possibly manufacture find a problem with that?"

"God the name-changing is getting BAD isn't it?"

has everyone got a hot-line to Him?

Colbeck · 28/12/2008 19:01

The article doesn't really reflect well on anyone does it?

How did it all come to this?????

All I know is...I didn't start it.

cornsilk · 28/12/2008 19:01

The poking of the Rev didn't seem entirely amicable to me (nor to a few other people it seems).

JoolsToo · 28/12/2008 19:04

all the pictures I've seen, its a bloke so it must be true

Dotterel · 28/12/2008 19:04

Can we all start singing Silent Night? (while poking people up the jacksy with cocktail sticks and pineapple)

morningpaper · 28/12/2008 19:04

ANYWAY I can't hang around here, I've got to make turkey risotto

morningpaper · 28/12/2008 19:05

you numpty Jules, haven't you seen Dogma? That is all true

SaintGeorge · 28/12/2008 19:08

Onebat, I really can't be arsed to argue with you or anyone else. If you want to carry on throwing insults, please yourself.

I have not had a go at rev and resent your implication that I have. I posted a general comment on the way people have posted on a public forum and then are getting upset about the results. Rev made it personal, I pointed out it wasn't, she apologised.

I fail to see why my posts make me sound smug but no doubt you will tell me.

TWINSETinapeartree · 28/12/2008 19:09

I am mortified that as a good catholic girl I have said and even discussed shagging with a man of God.

You don't have to be anonymous on Mumsnet if you don't want to.

The Independent have misquoted a number of posters and one or two who are known in real life may prefer the paper to publish a correction/apology for personal reasons. All Mumsnetters should want them to set the record straight in the interests of good journalism. Hopefully next time they want to run a non story about Mumsnet, they will bother to check their copy.

StealthPoHoHoHo · 28/12/2008 19:15

lot of nastiness to rev on this thread - is there something going on I don't know? Or are some people just spoiling for a fight? Moldies getting claustrophobic is it?
