Well hopefully the title says it all. There's been a suggestion, and we agree, that as we did with Baby P and the Mc Canns we just have one thread where anyone who feels they still have anything to add on this subject can post and those who'd rather move on can hide it away.

It feels strange to put this thread in site stuff as we are definitely not wanting to encourage further discussion of Moldies (we have presents to wrap too you know ) but we weren't sure where else to put it.

We will delete any new Moldies threads that are started, so please feel free to report them in case we miss any (what with wrapping the presents and all...)

And if you do want to carry on the discussion please remember that Mumsnet's here to make everyone's lives easier and not the reverse, and that Christmas is a time of goodwill to all mumsnetters past, present and future

Thanks,
MNHQ

cornsilk · 23/12/2008 23:04

mmm griddled courgettes. But at 11pm?

NotanOtter · 23/12/2008 23:04

woohoo roisin!

Hulababy · 23/12/2008 23:04

lol Roisin - you did it, a deleted post. Yeah You have made it!

expatinscotland · 23/12/2008 23:05

mmmm. almond rocha! oooo, what words to describe!?

onebatmotherofgoditschilly · 23/12/2008 23:05

We have friends coming, dammit. I can cancel the cleaning but they. will. be. fed. ostentatiously well.

ruty · 23/12/2008 23:05

yes but i didn't know you'd actually go and do it rev...[follows Peachy over dutifully]

morningpaper · 23/12/2008 23:06

I'M SICK OF WRAPPING SHITTING PRESENTS

Quattrocento · 23/12/2008 23:06

I misread this and thought that people were gilding courgettes. I really couldn't imagine why anyone would be gilding courgettes other than as table decorations.

Hulababy · 23/12/2008 23:06

I really do need to go to bed! DH is now watching trashy films as I am ignoring him!

EffiePerine · 23/12/2008 23:07

Tell 'em to bring the pizza, And drink a LOT.

TWINSETinapeartree · 23/12/2008 23:07

My dp is watching trashy films as well, bet it is the same one. Lots of men in prison or in strange jumpsuits anyway.

BitOfFunUnderTheMistletoe · 23/12/2008 23:07

Effie, are you all chilled for Christmas? I noticed your eminently sensible suggestions earlier about shopping locally and was inspired- I would like to thank you for a lovely relaxed day food shopping where I chatted away with my local shopkeepers and got everything I needed! Happy Xmas!

cornsilk · 23/12/2008 23:08

I'm waiting for survivors to come onto Catch up TV. I've wrapped nothing. HURRAH!

morningpaper · 23/12/2008 23:08

CAN SOMEBODY SEND ME A WIFE

Hulababy · 23/12/2008 23:08

Twinse - yes, that appears t be the one.

EffiePerine · 23/12/2008 23:09

As chilled as I can be - baby due in a week (eek!) hence aversion to crowded supermarkets . But all is done AND we have a cast-iron excuse to avoid anything elaborate for Xmas anyway...

onebatmotherofgoditschilly · 23/12/2008 23:09

d'you know Quattro, I'm ashamed to say that gilding courgettes is precisely the kind of insane pretentiousness that I would have been guilty of in my early twenties. I vividly recall tying cinnamon sticks (a rarity in 1989) and pine cones together with gold thread, to create an enchanting Christmas tableau.

holidaywonk · 23/12/2008 23:10

LOL at shitting presents and gilding courgettes. I think we are all a little over-tired.

Sorry to hear about your day and about DD, OBM. How rubbish.

morningpaper · 23/12/2008 23:10

gilding courgettes is surely a euphemism for some sort of boy love

dontcallmehon · 23/12/2008 23:10

Ok, my view is that I am glad that the Moldies have created their own forum, because I think that the newbies can now feel free to post without fear of their opinions being disregarded, as some mumsnetters are clearly more equal than others.

lou33 · 23/12/2008 23:10

and a diy person

i am running out of people i can persuade to do things for me

i would offer to be your wife mp, but i'm shit at it

Hulababy · 23/12/2008 23:11

lol courgette/boy love axis.
I should probably start wrapping the stocking presents.
Does anyone else wrap stockingpresents? my mother used to shove them in a (maybe clean) pair of tights with the price tag still on them.
I'm reacting, i think.
