If you (still) feel the need to discuss Moldies, please do it here so folks can hide this if they want to.

Well hopefully the title says it all. There's been a suggestion, and we agree, that as we did with Baby P and the Mc Canns we just have one thread where anyone who feels they still have anything to add on this subject can post and those who'd rather move on can hide it away.

It feels strange to put this thread in site stuff as we are definitely not wanting to encourage further discussion of Moldies (we have presents to wrap too you know ) but we weren't sure where else to put it.

We will delete any new Moldies threads that are started, so please feel free to report them in case we miss any (what with wrapping the presents and all...)

And if you do want to carry on the discussion please remember that Mumsnet's here to make everyone's lives easier and not the reverse, and that Christmas is a time of goodwill to all mumsnetters past, present and future

Thanks,
MNHQ

Do you know, I've read all the posts by all the posters - realised how prolific some people were who I had never noticed before, as well as listen to people I "knew" fighting their corner and, instead of feeling sad that it had all been a big ruck, actually was quite proud again to be here!

It feels like MN has been in a cocoon for the last week or so and is now emerging as a butterfly... a completely different thing, but all the better for it! (can you tell I've been reading A Very Hungry Caterpillar every night recently .

Anyhoo, more importantly, how do I get to join this cult then?

R - yes, certainly hope so, its my birthday tomorrow and I'm wanting to see:

  1. a brand new sparkly MN for 2009 b) being able to disappear into the ether for another few months iii) lots of bank details coming my way shortly from mugs the Revds followers.
  2. the internet disappearing due to the sub atomic stresses caused by this enormous thread
catinthehat1 · 30/12/2008 17:02

ooh dear started on the fizz already, so a few grammatical issues coming to the fore there, apologies.

Good.

I'VE GOT A FECKING GREAT BIG GRAPE HANGING OUT OF MY ARSE!!!

HELP!!!!!

groan · 30/12/2008 17:14

Have skimmed relevant threads but still not sure who broke the Moldgate story?

Threadworm · 30/12/2008 17:16

Please don't ask for rehashes. Every time someone does that it brings a repeat of the same vicious cirlce of discussions.

groan · 30/12/2008 17:17

Can you push it back in Rhubarb? Did that with mine a few years ago, together with germoloid suppositories and it all calmed down.

germoloids are the biz, better than anything gp gave me for piles.

NorthernLurker · 30/12/2008 17:25

Oh dear Rhubarb - is this a new problem or a reccurence of an old one?

Rhubarb · 30/12/2008 17:32

I've not had them this big since I gave birth!

And no, it won't go back in! It's fecking painful I tell ya! I going to eat AllBran every day of my fecking life after this.

NorthernLurker · 30/12/2008 17:35

Could you go to a pharmacist and ask advice?

groan · 30/12/2008 17:36

Can you send out for some germoloid cream? It should help sooth the area at least. I seem to remember soluble fibre is the right kind of fibre to eat (possibly talking out of hat here as brain a bit fried due to MAP).

Dh has fallen in love with me all over again after he FINALLY agreed to try germoloids on his piles .

JulesJules · 30/12/2008 17:39

Tcp ointment is great for the pain, Rhubarb, altho obv it smells a bit sulphurous... Worked better than anusol imo.

(It's clearly v painful, just seen you on MamaG's thread too!)

Huge sympathies as they are truly awful when they decide to erupt .

Rhubarb · 30/12/2008 17:49

ouch! ouch! ouch! ouch! ouch!

It's more painful than finding out about Moldies!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 30/12/2008 17:50

proctosedyl is ace but prescription only i think. better than the usual bunch [ha] of meds.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 30/12/2008 17:51

of course, in the meantime, sit on a pack of frozen peas to help ease the pain.
