Is there a way we can mark the last post we were reading on a thread; like a book-mark on it?

When you come back it's hard to find where you were.

Yes it is, just click on 'watch this thread' and it will store every post made from the time you clicked it. Then when you have caught up you can click 'reset watch' and start storing all over again - easy
