I saw that too, but I think it might now be dead!!!

AnAngelWithin · 03/10/2008 13:35

we killed it lol 1163 posts i think!

IdrisTheDragon · 03/10/2008 13:35

I think that when loads of people are repeatedly posting to get rid of a thread, lots of posts get through at exactly the same time, so the number of posts exceeds 1,000.

zippitippitoes · 03/10/2008 13:35

its deleted but it did get well past the 1000 mark

i wondered if the 100 post block was till working post servwer

so who was the OP then.

are we on troll alert again???

FAQ · 03/10/2008 13:39

I think if someone already has the thread open (so that message box is still visible) then they can still post. I'm guessing anyone that clicked on the thread after the 1000th post was posted wouldn't have been able to post one (an awful lots "posts" there sorry )

AMumInScotland · 03/10/2008 14:01

Yup, FAQ has it - if you have the thread open already, and the "post" button is still visible, you can post even though it's gone over the 1000.
